I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!!!!!

For the last five weeks there has been 12 of us teachers that have been sneaking around and practicing to surprise the whole high school student body on their own talent show. So what have we been practicing, well that would be the Thriller dance. The hardest part has been keeping this a secret from all the students. We pulled it off and it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! This is the first year that the teachers have been involved in the talent show, and it was perfect!! We hid behind the stage during the whole talent show, all the student acts went and the MC told the students that they were going to tally the judges sheet, then all the lights went down and the fog machines started and then the MC said you guys better stand and yell for this one. Then the curtains opened and we were all laying on the ground in the fog and the song started and we began to rise. We were all in perfect sink and the kids went crazy. I definitely had to break out of my comfort zone to do this but I had a blast. I have a video, but it is of the whole talent show, when I get just our dance, I will post!!!! Till next time, have a great week and safe and Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!

Shutting Shop Down For Awhile...

Ok, I seriously do not have time to blog and so I have decided to shut the blog down for a little while. I have been deciding what direction I want to take my blog and once I have time I am going to be re-doing some things. I will definitely still be reading all my favorite blogs, after all it is really refreshing and relaxing to read everyone else's blog, I love it. I just wish it was that easy to keep up my own. I have some things coming up that I will definitely want to blog about so I will probably trickle in a time or two, but for now I want to say adios amigos!!!!
I will be back shortly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking More Like Fall!!!!

We live on the edge of the mountains here in Arkansas and when it comes to fall time, it is absolutely beautiful. Friday night we headed up the mountain's for a good football game, and of course I am a little bitter because got beat. But we were not welcomed with open arms by the fans or more importantly the referees; we knew going into it that they have "hometown" refs but it is still aggravating. There was a cold front that came through that day and it was a very, very cold night. My fingers were frozen so I have no pictures. But on the way home the next day I took some pictures of the beautiful trees that are changing colors!! I am not a photographer and it is not easy taking pictures when my husband is flying to get home so he doesn't miss the Razorbacks beating Auburn; so sorry for the picture quality...

The other side of the interstate is soooo busy with all the fans heading to the Razorback game, you can notice there is noooo traffic on our side. It was nice coming home!!

One Sunday Morning

One Sunday morning,

A pastor decided to do something a little different.
He said 'Today, in church, I am going to say a single word and you are going to help me preach. Whatever single word I say, I want you to sing whatever hymn that comes to your mind -- the pastor shouted out

'CROSS.'

Immediately the congregation started singing in unison,

'THE OLD RUGGED CROSS.'

The pastor hollered out 'GRACE.'
The congregation began to sing 'AMAZING GRACE, how sweet the sound.'

The pastor said 'POWER.'
The congregation sang 'THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD.'

The Pastor said 'SEX'
The congregation fell into total silence.

Everyone was in shock. They all nervously began to look around at each other afraid to say anything.

Then all of a sudden, way from in the back of the church, a little old 87 year old grandmother stood up and began to sing

'MEMORIES.'

Pass this along and make someone smile today
