The Church Easter Festivities!!

Yesterday was the annual Church Easter festivities for the children (6th grade & younger). The kids had a blast. First they got to play at the park, then they got to hunt for Easter eggs, and then they had games for the kids. They had different sections of the park blocked off for different age groups of the kids for the egg hunt. Paul went with Kale and I went with Fallon, so I don't have as many pictures of Kale. It was a beautiful day, windy but absolutely beautiful!! Here are a few pictures from the day!

An Amazing Week!!

It has been spring break here in the Natural State and what a great break it has been!! For me it has been a week full of surprises! First off, my husband is not a romantic and surprises are not something he takes part in. But this week I am not sure what got into him but he surprised me not once but twice. The first one is a big one...
He traded my 4runner, the one below...
For a bigger vehicle. (Sorry not putting a picture of the new one on here)
He surprised me last weekend and I finally got to get it Thursday, I love it!! But Paul loves it also and I think we have almost switched vehicles, ha!! It is what we needed.

Then Friday I had to go out of town for something and Paul and the kids wanted to tag along, which was perfectly fine with me. After I got through with what I had to do, Paul surprised me with a date night to the Razorback baseball game. Side note, I am a Hogs baseball fanatic, something you want to know about them, just ask I can tell ya. That is a perfect date for me!! Here are a few pictures from the night!

It was a beautiful night...

but very cold, and I dressed for spring weather. Paul had to buy him a sweatshirt to stay warm.

But it was the absolute perfect night, just me and my honey and the Hogs pulled out the win in the bottom of the 8th and held the Bama Crimson Tide in the 9th, woohoo!!

Thanks Paul for the Great Week we have had and everything you have done for me, not just this week but all the time!!!

Playing Catch Up....

I am so sorry it has been so long since I have been on here, the term busy is an understatement. I have officially joined the women's running clinic and I will compete in my first 5K on May 8th, so the countdown has begun!!! I will get into that more later, promise. But what have the Houston's been up to, here we go...

Kale finished basketball season!! Was great, Paul had his first (hopefully last, ha) experience in coaching Kale's team!!

Then the day after basketball was over, Kale tried out for the swim team. He didn't make it, but it is ok and he is ok with that, he had fun. We still go swimming at least once a week!!!

Now we are starting baseball. This is him today. Kale is moving up to pitching machine this year and there is a guy that works for Paul that was a college baseball player that has offered to help Kale. He said Kale is doing awesome!! It works better, most kids listen better to other people than their own parents and Kale is one of those kids. So excited for the season to start!!

But now this little punk is giving me a glimpse into having two athletes in the family.

This basketball NEVER leaves her hands, ever...she even sleeps with this ball...the constantly bouncing ball is something I am learning to tune out.

Staying sane is a new hobby of mine and I have found a new way, it is called McDonald's McCafe coffee. Ohhh it is soooo good!!!

And...
Playing Bingo!!! Every week I have a girls night out and this week we went and played bingo and it was awesome!!!!

So much more to catch up on, but this will get me started!!

Blog Parade!

Thought I would join the fun, if you want to, click on the button above!!

1. What's your favorite time of the day, and why? My favorite time of day is once I get home and get to sit on the couch for a few minutes. We are so busy right now with all Kale's sports in full swing, as well as many more activities that we have going. So I just love sitting on the couch and especially when the kids cuddle up with me.

2. If health wasn't an issue, what food could you live off of? UHH, this one is hard, hence why I have a weight loss blog, I eat it all. My favorite is probably Mexican (we have 5 Mexican in our very little town) but I also could live off of Cajun food and any home cooking food, ex. Cracker Barrel.

3. If you could have one wish granted (besides wishing for more wishes), what would it be? If I had one wish it probably would be something about money, would love to be debt free or just where I didn't have to worry about money so much.

4. What's one thing that you get teased about a lot? Really 2 things, first my pronunciation of words when I read, I am not the best reader when I have to read aloud, that is why I teach math. Second is my southern accent, anytime I travel away from home town that is the first thing people talk about.

5. If you could choose one movie, book, or TV show to spend your life in, which would you pick? What type of character would you be? This one is tough, I will just use my favorite movie, Sweet Home Alabama. I love the love story as well as the south brought in, since I am very southern and all!!

6. If you could have one talent that you don't already have, what would it be? I wish I could bs better. I am not one who can 'come back' to questions. I lose my whole memory when I start to get questioned or put on the spot. I would love to get in front of a group of people and sound half way decent.

7.If money were no object, where would you go on vacation? Colorado, my all time favorite vacation is snow skiing, but it is also very beautiful in the summer to go hiking as well.

8. If you were an awesome singer, which genre would you sing? Country, but I don't really like listening to country. I think country singers are so classy and have the best voices and want to be just like them.

9. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, what would it be? One store, seriously? I would spend it all at Maurices. I love that store, but I have to include a shoe store in there also, Warrens!!

10. If you could live in any point in time, when would it be? I would love to live in the 40s or 50s just to experience and we wouldn't have to deal with all the economic problems that are happening now. But I also love living now, I love how advanced everything is and I am getting to experience it.

11. If every outfit in your wardrobe had to be one color, what would it be? Black and my whole wardrobe is pretty much black. It is very slimming, at least that is what I tell myself!!

12. If you were one of the seven dwarves, which one would you be?
(Doc, Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Bashful, Happy, or Dopey) Everyday I am a different one, so I will do what I am today and that would be Sneezy. There is something is the air and I can't stop.

13. What's the last album you listened to? This is funny, I don't have albums, I just listen to my ipod, the last song I listened to is my hard core music, aka my workout music.

14. What's something we'd be surprised to know about you? This one is tuff, I pretty much put everything about me out there.
