This and That

First: Update on my sister Katie!! She is home, yea, and on complete bed rest.

This is what she posted on facebook and I thought I would share with you.......Katie

Wants to say THANK YOU to everyone for the thoughts and prayers, it means so much to andy and I.. I am home now and finally layin in my own bed..God works in wonderful ways and we are so thankful he is watchin over me and Lillie Kate.. Keep us in your thoughts and pray that the next 4 to 5 weeks are good and we won't have to deliver early!! :)

Second: My friend Kelly and I took our sons ice skating for the first time today!! Of the four of us I am the only one who has ice skated before and that was 10+ years ago. The boys had a blast even though I think they would have much rather went swimming, but I know Kale wants to go back and practice more!! Here are a few of the pictures from today.

*It was a great and fun afternoon and can't wait to do it again!!

**And I want to say a big Thank You to everyone who has been praying for my sister, it is amazing what prayer does and this is a perfect example. I hope and pray everything continues to stay stable for her and the baby!!

What A Day...

It has been a crazy 24 hours, and truly that is an understatement. I went shopping all day yesterday with my besties Mandy and Laura (which was a blast)!! We got home about 9:30 or so last night and then the call came, 'your sister Katie is in the ER.' (Let me back up a little, Katie is the sister that got married this past May and soon after found out she was pregnant, she is having a honeymoon baby. The baby is due February 26.) Considering she lives 4 hours from me there was nothing I really could do. Then the next call came about an hour later, 'the hospital is rushing her to Little Rock.' Well LR is about an hour and 15 minutes from me. LR is where the main state hospitals are and that is where you want to be sent when something bad happens. The doctors still didn't really know what was going on and I kept debating whether to head to LR or not. My final text was a 2 am and Katie said they were letting her sleep and finish all the test in the morning so I headed to bed. By 7 am I got the text saying they were going to keep her and at that point Fallon and I got ready and headed toward central Arkansas.

This is Katie and this will probably how she is going to be till she delivers. She is battling high blood pressure and gal stones. That is all they know right now, they are going to run more test at noon tomorrow and depending on the results will depend whether we get to meet Lillie Kate this week or we actually get to wait closer to the due date. Katie's last ultra-sound Lillie weighed 2 pounds and that was 3 weeks ago, she would be little and have to stay at Children's for awhile. Would you please say a little prayer for her, right now she and her husband really need prayers.

(With everything that has happened I am going to delay the giveaway, I didn't have time to get it together. I am so sorry, I will make it up to you when I open the giveaway by adding something to it!!)

Now I am off to bed to sleep for a day or two, unless I get the call saying Lillie Kate is on her way...

Inspiration on this Monday!!!

Last Friday our school brought in a motivational speaker for the high students. He was really good and one of the videos he played during the speech is the one I have posted below. I had heard of this story but didn't really know the whole story. I love to hear stories like this, please take a moment and watch this video, it is truly amazing!!!

Show us your life - Christmas Tree

This week at Kelly's Korner is show your Christmas Trees. This is my favorite time of year and I just love how everybody decorates and it looks so good. I really wish I had the creativity to decorate. So this year I decided to give it a shot to start trying to make mine look like everyone else's that is soooooo beautiful. But until I get that accomplished I am going to use my wonderful very beautiful pregnant sisters tree for this weeks show us your life series!!! She is so creative and can decorate like no other!!! I cannot wait to see everyone's tree so I can get some good ideas!!

Oh My Son......

**First, for all my readers that are against hunting, I am sorry. I am from the south and hunting is pretty much life here.**

The exciting news is my son killed his first deer this past Saturday!!! It was a seven point!!! He is seven and killed a seven point (I am secretly hoping that every year he kills one and the points increase with his age)!! The only thing I didn't get a picture of was his face, when he shot the gun the scope came back and hit him between the eyes, he had a big knot there and it turned purple. I told him he had proof that he really shot the deer...
